Do I need a finance or trading background?
No. Everything you need is on the how to play and score page, including a worked example with the arithmetic shown. There is nothing to revise and nothing to install.
How do I sign in?
With the User ID and password the event team emailed you. Your User ID tells us which college you play for. There is no password to change and no self-service reset, so if you are locked out, reply to that email and the event team will reissue your credential.
When exactly can I play?
Day 1 opens at 12:00 PM IST. Each day's answers lock at 11:00 AM IST the next morning, and results are published from 12:00 PM once a second person has checked the calculation, which also opens the next day. The server clock decides, not your device.
Do I have to answer all 4 questions?
No. You can explicitly skip any question with the checkbox next to it; a skipped question scores zero for that question only and does not stop you from submitting the rest. Anything you leave untouched without skipping is submitted at its starting value, which still scores, so the submit panel tells you exactly what would be sent before you confirm.
Can I change my answers after submitting?
Yes, as often as you like until the 11:00 AM lock. Your latest submitted version is the one that scores. A draft that was saved but never submitted does not count, so press submit before the deadline.
What happens if I miss a day?
That day scores zero and you keep playing. A missed day never blocks a later one, and your final rank is still the sum of all 3 days.
What actually happens to my mix after I submit? Is anything random?
No, nothing random happens at lock. Your mix is exactly the split you submitted. At publication we average every submitted mix at your college into one campus result, and that average decides the day's Scissors percentage. Your Question 1 score, and the settlement for Questions 2 to 4, are computed against that same number.
Is there negative marking?
No. Every question scores between 0 and 100.
What spread am I allowed to quote in Question 2?
Between 10 and 30 points. You can submit a quote outside that range; at the lock the server moves the nearer boundary until the width fits, keeping the midpoint you chose. A tighter spread trades more often, which cuts both ways.
Why does my Question 1 payoff row differ from a friend's?
Payoff rows are assigned from your User ID, and some rows are more common than others. The row you hold, and how common it is, are both shown next to the question. Everyone still settles against the same campus outcome.
Am I competing against the other IITs?
No. Each campus is a separate game with its own outcome and its own leaderboard, and the top 250 is drawn inside each campus. You never trade against, or are ranked against, another college.
Is this a hiring process?
No. Nothing here decides an internship, a job, or an interview. What it decides is who plays the Da Vinci Cricket League with Rahul Dravid on campus.
Can I use AI, Google, or ask a friend?
Yes, all of that is allowed. It is still your call what you actually submit.
What do the other players see about me?
Only the leaderboard identifier taken from your email, never your answers. Drafts and quotes stay private, and results stay private until the event team publishes them.
What if two people finish on the same score?
Exact ties share the same rank. Ranking is competition style: your rank is one plus the number of people strictly above you.
Phone or laptop?
Either. The daily game works on a phone, and a day takes roughly 15 minutes. Use a stable connection near the 11:00 AM lock, since a submission that arrives after it is rejected.
What happens after the top 250?
Your final page shows whether you made the cut. The top 250 at each IIT are selected to play the Da Vinci Cricket League with Rahul Dravid, and the event team mails the qualifiers directly with the details.
